Lifestyle- Restaraunt Review- CVI.CHE 105- Downtown | Miami Beach | Aventura Mall

If you asked me to rate CVI.CHE 105 when I first moved to Miami, I would give its Ambiance- 9.4, Service- 9.2, & Food Taste and Presentation- 9.7.

While this is still one of my favorite restaraunts of all time and a place every visitor and local resident must experience at least once, sadly the restaraunt has declined in all three areas.

Here are my ratings:

Ambiance- 8 The downtown location has become increasingly congested at entry and is too noisy. The new entry is cumbersome and it is annoying to have to breathe in smoke while you are waiting to get a seat or upon leaving and waiting for valet to get your car. South Beach is similar. I love to sit outside, but if one person lights a cigarette on the sidewalk the meal is ruined.

Service- 7.5 The service could be better. On recent visits the waiters forgot the roasted corn, failed to refill the water, and made simple mistakes on the orders.

Food Taste and Presentation- 9 On a recent visit I ordered chicken and it was very dry. Over the years prices have increased and portion sizes have decreased, but the ceviche is still excellent. Despite some of my construtive comments above I still love this restaraunt and hope it will someday return to its prior excellence.
